ATHENS, GREECE – The longstanding partnership between Sabre Corporation, a prominent software and technology firm serving the global travel industry, and Aktina Travel Group (ATG) has been reinforced through a renewed multiyear agreement. This renewal celebrates over thirty years of collaboration, aiming to further ATG’s growth.

The updated agreement introduces Sabre’s Automation Hub to ATG, significantly reducing the time agents spend on manual tasks. Additionally, ATG will implement Sabre Virtual Payments, enhancing payment flexibility and efficiency, and offering improved fraud protection and security.

Andromachi Zerzivili, CEO and owner of ATG, highlighted the crucial role of Sabre’s advanced automation in their operations. A significant portion of their ticketing is processed through Sabre, streamlining pre-booking, quality assurance, and issuance processes. This not only elevates the service quality provided to clients but also facilitates self-booking, offers extensive customization, and integrates smoothly with various financial and travel management systems. Real-time monitoring adds to the efficiency, enabling ATG to focus on delivering exceptional travel experiences.

In the evolving travel industry, agencies like ATG are shifting towards a more comprehensive service approach. Sabre’s solutions enable Aktina to provide personalized travel options, dynamic packages, and AI-driven itineraries, offering travelers more than mere bookings. Furthermore, Sabre’s innovative technology assists ATG in managing and leveraging fragmented data in the travel sector, thereby improving the overall customer experience.

Andreas Syrigos, Sabre’s Senior Regional Director for Southern Europe & Nordics, observed that travel consultants often spend up to 70% of their workday on routine tasks. He emphasized that ATG’s adoption of Sabre’s automation tools will allow their travel professionals to focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
