Today, Hard Rock International, in collaboration with Steinhauer Properties, announced plans to develop the Hard Rock Hotel Long Beach. This marks the first new full-service hotel construction in Long Beach, California, in three decades and the first Southern California Hard Rock Hotel in nearly ten years. Construction is scheduled to start in Summer 2024, with an anticipated opening in Spring 2027. The hotel will be a premier entertainment hub in downtown Long Beach, near the convention center.

Jon Lucas, COO of Hard Rock International, expressed gratitude to Mayor Rex Richardson, the City Council, and partners for embracing Hard Rock’s signature hospitality in Long Beach. He noted the excitement surrounding the expansion of their hotel portfolio on the West Coast.

Located between Los Angeles and Newport Beach, the Hard Rock Hotel Long Beach will be a 31-story building close to key attractions like Alamitos Beach and the Aquarium of the Pacific. It will feature around 427 rooms and suites, including a Rock Star Suite, and boast the tallest open rooftop bar in Southern California with panoramic views. Amenities will include an outdoor pool, a Body Rock® Fitness Studio, two restaurants, and a Rock Shop®. A unique speakeasy-style intimate concert hall with seating for 250 will also be part of the hotel.

Greg Steinhauer, President of Steinhauer Properties, expressed excitement about joining this venture and contributing to Long Beach’s vibrant community. The project is expected to generate approximately 3,600 jobs, with 3,100 in construction starting next summer and 500 permanent positions upon the hotel’s opening in 2027.
